Since its doors opened in 1994, Dance Motions has offered professionally taught classes by highly proficient instructors. We believe that whether a dancer is at Dance Motions for fun, exercise or to pursue a future in dance, all classes should be taught by experienced instructors with high levels of dance education. While we encourage our older students who wish to pursue a future in dance education to apprentice with our experienced staff, never will a high school student be solely responsible for your child’s learning.
As dance is an art, we believe that while classes should be fun, they should also be centered on discipline and technique. That is why beginning in our youngest classes (students can start at age 3), students are taught both proper technique and technical terms. We also believe there is a difference in dance training as a professional art versus competitive dancing. Dance Motions carefully built its curriculum so that dancers who wish to attend a four-year university in dance will be offered the proper foundation in order to achieve acceptance.
